Does This Look Infected To You?

Making slides for my show was possibly the most boring photography related thing I’ve ever had to do, but it’s finally over! I have to admit to being somewhat blown away by the whole process of it, though. However, spending the better portion of my day sniffing rubber cement and staring into a light box isn’t exactly my idea of great fun.

Sneak Peek

My photography class is doing an exhibition on slideshow narratives. The whole process has been very involved (hence my week long disappearing act), and our teacher wants at least five prints from our respective shows to boot. I printed these earlier this week while waiting for my slides to dry.

I’m very eager to print the rest of the roll, and also sad that my slideshow isn’t going to look as good as my prints; the makeshift vignetting isn’t so obvious when I up the filter number. I love how it looks in the shots where there isn’t visible sky or direct sunlight; coupled with my 24mm lens it almost looks like I have a fisheye!

The music I’ve chosen to play during my show is Nobuo Uematsu’s “Kefka” from the Final Fantasy Piano Collections. If you haven’t heard these songs before– whether you play video games or not– you should listen to them immediately! Beautiful stuff.

Prototype

Last night I successfully created the next generation of my beloved dino dudes: earrings! I wore this pair all day with no troubles at all, though anytime I wear earrings made out of fimo clay I’m always constantly worrying that they’re going to fall out, break, etc.

I still need to figure out a way to attach upright dinos to the eyepin without making them look weird or precarious, but for now my spare time is dedicated to becoming completely consumed with my friends who walk on all fours.
