Van Gat-ogh

The last time I saw Scruffy he was the most well-preserved 9+ year old cat I’d ever seen, but now he’s finally starting to show his age with a bit of wear ‘n’ tear. I think it was an ear-mite infection sometime within the last year that led to the permanent folding of his left ear. The cutest sad thing ever? Yeah, I think so, too.

Happy Caturday!

Tom

One of the best things about staying at my MIL’s is the abundance of cats keeping me company until I can get back to my sweet Felix next week.

This is Tom– I’ve blogged about him before. He yawned more times than I could count (or shoot) when we were hanging out in the back yard yesterday afternoon. Heck, I’d be tired, too, if I was as old as this geezer!

Happy Caturday!

Boris the Spider(cat)

Seems like I run into Boris a lot lately! These were shot earlier this week when I was wandering up and down my street, Rollei and Holga in tow, looking for a cat to photograph.

The bottom photo was taken by Ben, and processed by me.

Cats on Film

Naturally, some of the subjects I first turned to when tinkering with my new film toys were the neighborhood kitties. They’re much cheaper than human models and are always willing to strike a pose. ;)

Happy Caturday!

Boris Yeltsin

I’m not really sure why but I nicknamed this cat Boris Yeltsin– maybe it’s because he’s an orange and white tabby, like my old family cat, Boris Badenov.

He lives next door, along with Pistachio, Alan, Mija and Cartoon Felix, but he’s the shyest of the bunch. These were taken earlier this month, and the first time I’ve gotten him to come out onto the steps instead of hiding in the corners of the patio.

In the bottom two Boris is looking at Mija, who decided to wreak havoc on our little photoshoot. Descortés!
